As Interzero aims to relieve its customers as much as possible of the burden of waste management, an additional service we offer is the declaration and settlement of environmental taxes.

The declaration, reporting and payment of the environmental levy to the FURS for packaging waste, waste electrical and electronic equipment, portable batteries and funeral candles is mandatory for producers and buyers who place these products on the Slovenian market.

The bases for calculating environmental taxes are:

• payment of an annual allowance for the taxable person’s management of environmental taxes; and
• the environmental impact of waste.

Environmental taxes are calculated every six months as a sum:

• quarterly/semi-annual payment of the allowance; and
• the product of the quantities and units of environmental pollution for each product used or put into circulation in Slovenia during the accounting period.
